Although there is still a long way to go for companies in this regard, we find that the democratization of <strong>Artificial Intelligence (AI) takes a step further <\/strong>in the way organizations use data to make decisions, enhance efficiency, and optimize business processes<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:37px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#0081ff\" class=\"has-inline-color\">The democratization of AI refers to the ability of organizations to access, use, and apply AI tools autonomously, without the need for a specialized team in this area.<\/mark><\/strong> The idea is that anyone can use AI, regardless of their background or level of experience, to make more informed decisions in their field of work and enhance business processes.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:37px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>AI enables <strong>improving decision-making<\/strong> at all levels of the company. Traditionally, decision-making was limited to a small number of individuals with expertise and specialized knowledge. The adoption of <strong>machine learning<\/strong> and AI at all levels of the company enables any person to access, in a controlled and reliable manner, the data and tools necessary to make informed decisions. This means that companies can leverage the knowledge and expertise of all employees, which can improve the quality of the decisions made<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:37px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Another of the main <strong>advantages<\/strong> is that it allows business users to make better decisions in real-time. AI-based solutions can analyze large amounts of data in a matter of seconds, enabling companies to identify patterns and trends that would otherwise be difficult to detect. Furthermore, these AI-based tools can automate tasks, reducing the time and cost associated with these activities. All stakeholders can dedicate their time to more important and higher-value activities for the company.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:37px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>However, the democratization of AI also raises some <strong>significant implications<\/strong>. One of the main concerns is that these solutions may replace jobs that were previously performed by humans. Any innovation introduced into the business world evolves the labor market, causing certain job roles to transition into other activities Companies must be aware of this risk and work to ensure that employees have the necessary skills to adapt to these changes.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:37px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Another concern is that AI can lead to biased decision-making. AI relies on data, and if this data is biased, the AI will be biased as well.<mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#0081ff\" class=\"has-inline-color\"> <strong>The<\/strong><\/mark><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#0081ff\" class=\"has-inline-color\">companies must ensure that the data used to train AI tools is representative and not biased toward any specific group, as well as ensure that they adhere to ethical standards.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:37px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p><strong><em>In all the projects we undertake at berocam, within the Data Governance Program that should encompass this paradigm shift, we design clear and transparent policies for the use of AI. These policies ensure that the data used is representative and unbiased. We also ensure employee training in the ethical use of AI, incorporating this ethical code from the design phase of these solutions. We promote regular audits to assess compliance in the implementation and use of AI.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:37px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During the last few years, we have been experiencing the democratization of data in organizations.
