What is the Ethical Code?
Ethics is a fundamental principle for 21st-century companies to fulfill their obligations properly and ensure a balance between the rights and obligations of all stakeholders affected: employees, shareholders, customers, supplier companies, competition, and society in general.
BEROCAM CONSULTING’s Ethical Code is a fundamental norm that aims to establish ethical principles and basic guidelines of conduct that must govern the behavior and actions, both internally and externally, of all individuals working in or for BEROCAM CONSULTING.
It is a framework of behavior that does not replace internal regulations or regulations but serves as a guiding principle, frames them, and complements them.
Commitment and Leadership
This Ethical Code has been promoted by the Board of Directors as the highest governing body of BEROCAM CONSULTING and is committed to ensuring communication, training, and monitoring of its correct use.
General Principles
1)Honesty and trust. We fulfill the commitments made, showing that we are honest and can be trusted. We protect the confidentiality of the information entrusted to us, whether from the Company, customers, shareholders, employees, or suppliers. We provide relevant information to our stakeholders (customers, employees, suppliers, shareholders, etc.) on how we use and store their personal data. We also inform them about how to access and correct them. We keep their personal data with appropriate security measures. If at any time this security is compromised, we act quickly and responsibly.
2)Respect for the law. We ensure compliance with all legislation, regulations, and regulatory obligations, both national and international, considering internal policies and regulations among them. We compete fairly in our markets. We believe that consumers and society in general benefit from open and free markets.
3)Integrity. All types of bribery are prohibited. Promising, offering, or giving any benefit or advantage of any kind to individuals to influence decisions of any kind (including governmental, administrative, or judicial decisions) or obtain undue advantages for the Company is not allowed. It is also prohibited to accept any benefit or advantage that may result in a breach of the obligations and duties of the Company’s employees. We do not offer or accept gifts, invitations, or other incentives that could reward or influence a business decision. We avoid or declare any conflict of interest that may prioritize personal over collective priorities. We behave with rectitude, without seeking personal or third-party benefit through the misuse of our position or contacts in BEROCAM. We act institutionally with absolute political neutrality and refrain from any direct or indirect positioning, either in favor or against legitimate political processes and actors. We do not make cash or in-kind donations of any kind to political parties, organizations, factions, movements, entities, whether public or private, whose activity is clearly linked to political activity.
4)Human Rights. We respect the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations, as well as the declarations of the International Labor Organization. We promote equal opportunities and treat all individuals fairly and impartially, without prejudice associated with race, color, nationality, ethnic origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, age, disability, or family responsibilities.
Chapter 1. Employees
BEROCAM CONSULTING advocates for the full integration of its human team into the ethical vision of business assumed by the company.
In this sense, there is a double commitment: respect for the rights of workers, ensuring family reconciliation, digital disconnection, and due rest; and continuous training of employees so that the main source of inspiration in providing the service and their performance in the company is always to act with due diligence towards the company’s stakeholders.
Regarding the first commitment, BEROCAM conducts a study of the profiles that join the company, either as an employee or external collaborator, to offer a model of labor or commercial relationship that not only complies with current regulations but also with the internal commitments assumed by the company to ensure the safety and well-being of the employee or collaborator.
Regarding the relationship of BEROCAM’s human team with its stakeholders, we opt for a continuous training model where personnel, internal, or collaborator, has all the necessary information to carry out the processes inherent to their position in accordance with the compliance standards assumed by the company.
Chapter 2. Clients
BEROCAM, as a consultancy in the field of New Technologies, ensures that service provision is carried out honestly, pursuing the maximum level of technical advice and compliance with current regulations that affect our clients in the framework of their performance.
We assume a strong policy on Information Security and Personal Data Protection, which is published, communicated, and disseminated at all levels of the organization and clients.
Chapter 3. Suppliers
BEROCAM promotes fair competition, ruling out any anti-competitive practices in its performance area. Therefore, the criteria for selecting suppliers of goods and services are reached by evaluating different budgets and through an internal approval process that prevents summary and arbitrary hiring of any product and/or service; and favors equal opportunities.
BEROCAM requires our suppliers to conduct their business applying principles similar to ours, in addition to requiring compliance with the law and regulation in force in each country.
Chapter 4. Corporate Social Responsibility
BEROCAM has internalized in its business strategy a policy of respect for the environment, under which, within its corporate procedures, energy saving, the reduction of unnecessary paper use, and the responsible use of information technologies are prioritized, seeking that the incorporation of data analysis technologies into society takes place sustainably, respecting the fundamental rights of citizens.
